The Annual Meeting of the Cheshire Fire Authority was held on 24th June at the Winsford Fire Headquarters. Cross-Party elected members from each council serve on the Authority to provide oversight and scrutiny of the service’s work and functionality, including budget.
The Authority’s Conservative Group consists of seven Members, four from Cheshire East Council:
Cllr Rachel Bailey, Cllr Peter Coan, Cllr Patrick Redstone and Cllr Margaret Simon.
The three Members from Cheshire West and Chester are:
Cllr Razia Daniel’s, Cllr Lynn Gibbon and Cllr Margaret Parker.
Following its HMICFRS* Inspection this year, Cheshire Fire & Rescue was the first Fire and Rescue Service in the Country to achieve “Outstanding” in the category “Leading our People”
They rated “GOOD” in all other areas with NO formal areas for improvement.
This fantastic result is due the hard work and dedication of all those working in the Service.
The Conservative Group are delighted to be part of such a well run and well led organisation and look forward to continuing to work with the Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service in its endeavours to keep Cheshire residents safe.
