Cllr Chris O’Leary: Sutton Ward (Elected May 2023)

Sutton Ward is a single-member ward.

Chris lives in Wildboarclough, and before that lived in Langley. He is an academic, a political scientist.

Chris is actively involved in his local community; He is the parish clerk to our parish meeting, is involved in the village fete, and this year in the village panto.

Chris is actively involved in the campaign to Save Danes Moss, and two years ago, led the fight against Labour-run Cheshire East Council’s Community Governance Review proposals, that would have sliced Sutton Parish Council in three, and destroyed several other parishes.

Over the past two years Chris has spoken to many residents and sent surveys to everyone to ask their views, and regularly reports issues with potholes and blocked drains.

Chris is determined to stand up for the three villages of Langley, Lyme Green, and Sutton Lane Ends, in Rainow, Wincle, Wildbarclough and Macclesfield Forest, to get a better deal from Cheshire East Council.
