Cllr Sue Adams: Disley Ward

Cllr Adams has lived in Disley and Newtown for 36 years, has been a parish councillor for eight years and chair of Disley Parish Council for the past two years.

She served as a governor of Disley Primary School for 14 years and was a member of the Disley and Newtown Neighbourhood Plan steering group.

In addition, Sue served on Disley Parish Council’s health and wellbeing and community bus project groups and supported the weekly Cuppa an’ a Chat group. She recently helped set up the Disley Friends Social Group for carers and cared for residents and is an active member of the Friends of Disley Station.

Sue is a qualified management accountant and has worked in a variety of different organisations, both large and small.
