Having represented the Prestbury Ward on Macclesfield Borough Council from 1999 to 2007, and as Mayor of Macclesfield Borough in 2008-2009, Cllr Thelma Jackson welcomed the role of Parish Councillor since taking up office in 2012.
Having been a Governor of Prestbury Primary School and a current trustee of Friends of Prestbury Youth, Cllr Jackson has always been interested in helping to develop the future generation of residents.
Also sitting on the Prestbury Amenity Society and as a trustee of Prestbury Village Hall, Cllr Jackson is able to bring a well-rounded approach to Parish affairs and is well placed to understand the needs of this rural borough ward as a Cheshire East councillor.
