Dan Price (Labour) – 86,279 (48.1%)

John Dwyer (Conservative) – 65,836 (36.7%)

Middlewich Bypass put on hold as costs soar by over 50%

Labour-led Cheshire East Council has been asked to re-think the Middlewich Eastern Bypass scheme in the light of significant delays, soaring costs and failure to submit a sufficiently robust business case. 

CEC gets £625,933 Swimming Pool Funding (Phase 2)

More than 300 swimming pools are to benefit from £60 million funding to support their long-term future, including three in Cheshire East. These are Macclesfield Leisure Centre, Bollington Health and Leisure Centre and the Crewe Lifestyle Centre.
